What is Whiplash Associated Disorders (WAD)?
● This type of injury usually results from a motor vehicle accident, involving a sudden acceleration-deceleration mechanism
● This impact could result in a variety of symptoms affecting
the neck, ranging from bony to soft-tissue
Clinical Presentation/Symptoms
● Neck pain
● Stiffness in the neck
● Headaches, typically at the base of the head
● Decreased range of motion and flexibility of the neck
● Increased pain during movements of the neck
● Tenderness or pain in the shoulders, upper back, or arms
● Possible tingling or numbness in the arms
● Difficulty sleeping
● Issues with concentration or vision
