The ProTailored Difference

ProTailored Physical Therapy Clinic Fort Wayne

We pride ourselves on tailoring an individualized plan of care to your specific needs (it’s even in our name… Pro(fessionally)Tailored!) while getting to know you on a personal level.  ProTailored was formed out of a desire to treat you the way we believe you should be treated within a model that allows you to get the most intentional, focused, expert care possible (click on “Our Story” to read more about this).

In order to do this, we have intentionally structured our clinic and treatment sessions in a way that allow for this more individualized type of care; care that is designed to fully focus on you, our patient. These defining features that distinguish us from the traditional physical therapy setting and treatment are what we refer to as The ProTailored Difference. The ProTailored Difference is a combination of our four unique qualities that make ProTailored, ProTailored. The ProTailored Difference creates the perfect environment for you to optimize your recovery while being listened to, valued, and known. Come see us at one of our physical therapy clinics in North Fort Wayne, Northwest Fort Wayne, Central Fort Wayne, Southwest Fort Wayne or East Fort Wayne, IN today for the ProTailored Physical Therapy Difference!

The ProTailored Difference

What The ProTailored Difference means for you-our patient:

Private rooms provide the ideal setting for open communication while giving you the privacy you deserve when receiving treatment and working through personal and, at times, painful issues. While we do have a gym that we utilize, each therapist has their own, private treatment room they use to deliver the majority of treatment.

We are a manual-based, hands-on physical/occupational therapy clinic. This means that your physical/occupational therapist will be stretching, manipulating, massaging, and using their hands and advanced training to get you better.  We believe knowledge is power and is an important part of the healing process, so we put an emphasis on equipping you with the knowledge to better understand your condition, how your brain processes pain, and how to prevent future issues. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge to assist you in recovering now and helping prevent re-injury later.  Exercise is also an important component in the recovery process and is incorporated into all treatment plans.  We want to use your time with us to deliver expert care you couldn’t otherwise receive on your own at home. This means we will focus our time on delivering advanced hands-on treatment and equipping you with knowledge while progressing you through a home exercise program.

Your full appointment time from start to finish is devoted completely to you and getting you better! We run a true one-on-one physical/occupational therapy model and only schedule one patient per appointment; we never double book! No jumping around from patient to patient or sending you off to complete exercises while your therapist goes off to treat someone else. Your therapist is with you and only you throughout your entire appointment-giving you the focused attention you deserve.

This approach allows your physical/occupational therapist to know you, your story, what works best for your specific needs, and ultimately creates the right conditions to properly progress your treatment without needing to relay information from one provider to the next.

One of the comments we routinely hear from our patients is, “I’ve had physical therapy before but not like this!” More than 80% of our patients are returning patients or have been referred directly by friends and family members who have received treatment from us and experienced The ProTailored Difference firsthand. We believe this means The ProTailored Difference is making a difference, and we are earning patients’ trust and respect through proven results.

What qualifications and training do ProTailored therapists have?

ProTailored is committed to providing the highest quality care through advanced clinical training and ongoing professional development.

Our therapists complete extensive education in hands-on treatment techniques, including accredited manual therapy and dry needling certifications. This advanced training allows our team to deliver highly skilled, evidence-based care for a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.

What scheduling, location, and telehealth options does ProTailored offer?

ProTailored offers multiple clinic locations throughout the Fort Wayne area, making it easier to find care close to home. We also offer convenient appointment times, including morning availability at many locations.

For individuals who may have difficulty traveling to the clinic, telehealth appointments are available when appropriate. These virtual visits allow you to connect with your therapist from home while continuing your treatment plan and receiving professional guidance.

Patients can request appointments online, and our team will verify insurance benefits before the first visit to help make the process as simple and stress-free as possible. Whether you prefer in-person treatment or virtual care, our goal is to provide flexible options that support your recovery and fit your lifestyle.

Is ProTailored covered by Medicare, and how does the clinic coordinate care with my surgeon or physician after surgery?

Yes. ProTailored accepts Medicare and many Medicare replacement plans. Before your first visit, our team will verify your benefits and help you understand your coverage and any potential out-of-pocket costs.

For patients recovering from surgery, communication and coordination are an important part of the recovery process. Our therapists work closely with surgeons, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals when needed to ensure your treatment plan aligns with your medical needs, surgical precautions, and recovery goals.

Throughout your rehabilitation, we track your progress and provide updates as appropriate so everyone involved in your care is working toward the same outcome—helping you recover safely and return to the activities you enjoy.

How do ProTailored’s therapists, scheduling options, and insurance process support my care?

At ProTailored, we believe quality care starts with personalized attention and a smooth experience from beginning to end. Our therapists receive advanced training and provide one-on-one treatment sessions in private rooms, allowing you to receive focused care during every visit.

We offer convenient scheduling options, including morning appointments at multiple locations, to help fit treatment into your routine. We also accept Medicare and many insurance plans, and our team can help verify your benefits and explain coverage details before you begin care.

Our goal is to make getting the treatment you need as simple and stress-free as possible so you can focus on your recovery.

Do You Treat Kids?

We treat patients of all ages with a variety of different conditions. Please call our office at (260) 739-0300 with any specific questions.

Can I continue sessions even after I feel better?

Yes, once you have completed your therapy sessions, your therapist will review your continuing home program and determine what exercises would be helpful in your continued recovery.

How should I prepare for my initial appointment?

Please have your prescription and insurance card available when you call if you were referred and plan to use your insurance to pay for treatment. We will help verify your insurance benefits and provide you with an estimate of coverage.

To bring on your first visit:

  • A prescription (if needed) for physical therapy from your referring physician, ARNP, or PA.
  • Insurance information (we will make a copy of your card).
  • Print out the patient forms, fill them out, and bring them with you.
  • In case of an automobile accident or worker’s compensation claim, also bring any case manager or insurance adjuster contact names, phone numbers, and claim number.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork, so you can maximize your time in your evaluation.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your problem areas.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, check, debit card, and credit card. We are happy to discuss payment plan options as well. It is our policy that payment is made at the time of service.

I don’t have insurance – what do I do?

If you do not have insurance, or do not wish to use your insurance benefits for your therapy, please give us a call to discuss other payment options.

Who pays for physical therapy?

If you have health insurance, in most cases your physical therapy will be covered.  ProTailored Physical Therapy will be happy to assist in contacting your insurance company and determining your coverage based on your individual policy.

For more information, visit our insurance plan page and please do not hesitate to contact our Fort Wayne, IN physical therapy office. We do offer different payment options for your convenience, in case you do not have health insurance or do not want to go through your insurance.

How many treatments will I need before I feel better?

Until we evaluate your unique condition, we are unable to determine how long it will take your body to recover. Your physical therapist will develop a plan of care that is just right for you and the number of treatments will be determined during your first visit and explained to you by our physical therapist.

How long will each of my sessions last?

Treatment sessions will last approximately 30-60 minutes and are based on insurance policies.

What should I wear to my sessions?

Ever been to the gym? Well, for your physical therapy treatments, you should dress as if you were going to a gym to work out. Your clothes should be loose fitting, giving us the ability to expose the area that we will be evaluating and treating. For example, if you have a knee problem, it is best to wear shorts, not pants or jeans. For a shoulder problem, a tank top is a good choice, and for low back problems, wear a loose fitting shirt and pants so we can perform a thorough examination.

I want to schedule an appointment – how do I do that?

Our scheduling is easy and we offer a convenient location and appointment times for you. Call us today or request an appointment.
